Had an absolute blast up the north coast early January - we set my board up with twin fins and small trail fin, mate I left them on surfing two foota's at Gallows [CH] and 4-5 foota's at Wallabie Point [Saltwater] and the bottom hand turns and reos blew me away - the drive and hold were amazing. Funny thing locals were surfing thrusters on C drives at Wallabie, one guy said he wouldn't use anything else! ....

Hi Adam.
I got the Squadren...AS far as opening the pakcet and having a look goes the fins look great! beautifully made, nice to see a quality product and there really good value when compared to FCS. The Foils on the fins look really nice and I especially like the fact the effort has gone into making an 80/20 foil on the rear quads. Top notch finish and presentation so congratulations on that for sure.
The ride actually feels pretty natural and very similar to my regular set up which is no bad thing as I have spent a lot of time finding sets that work for me. Sizing of the fins felt really good, I usually ride a GPR front and a GX rear and the particular board that I tried them in I had been riding a Kinetics Parko up front and a FCS Rusty rear quad out back
I did not feel a huge difference in the drive but I am riding a pretty big fin anyway. What I did find straight away is that the fins do have good hold and drive but definitely still slide and release like a regular fin but it’s in a really nice controlled way so I would say to anyone looking at the design thinking it might be a bit radical for them don’t discount it as there just as viable if not more so for all the attributes that you would look for in your standard fin....

I find the C-Drive fins really fun to ride to get heaps speed on the wave and also are very responsive when doing different turns and moves. There a great all round fin and would defiantly suggest that you should try them out or get a pair for yourself.
“Hey, Adam, just wanted to say thanks for getting the new fins to me. They feel awesome, heaps of drive and hang in thru speed arcs etc. As you know, I was complaining that my surfing had become pretty stagnate and was finding it difficult to generate speed (especially in small beachbreaks that are all too common over summer). I guess I should expect that at 42 a bit but since the new fins, I have a renewed energy for surfing, it’s like I am a 15yr old again!! The fins have pretty much turned my surfing around! Even on small days I now feel motivated to get out there and hack away”.
Thanks a million, Flex ‘has been’ Landers.

Hi Adam,
Tried out the fins on the weekend, first in a washing machine beach break and then in a clean point break. I have them in a quad fin arrangement using GX fins as trailers. The C drive fins have given my 5’8” kneeboard a real Jeckle and Hyde personality. In the mushy stuff the board has got that extra acceleration I was hoping for. In a clean solid point break My Hyde takes control, the board demands to be ridden hard, it now turns on a five cent piece with buckets of acceleration out of any turn. I confidently made sections that I would struggle to make with the M5s in the board. The board is very loose and positive I am looking forward to trying it in a sucky beach break.
Thanks, Byron
Words can not describe them, they are so sick. Any kid from about 40kg to 55kg will be loving these fins. So much drive off my bottom turns and they really hold on vertical turns yet when you do a slash they really loosen up and allow you to really slide. I was surfing them in about like 2ft-3ft waves and they were unbelievable. I found out that i was finishing my turns correctly and someone gave me the advice to fix it and the fins are going better then ever. Perfect size.
Thanks heaps" (Mat Baker - WA)

Tried a set of medium c drive fins for the first time today on my 6'6''semi-fish at Avoca. The surf was 3 foot, sucky and choppy onshore. The takeoff was late and these fins generated all the speed needed to get across the very fast sections. Coming off the bottom for back hand reos the board had plenty of speed but still had very quick release from the lip after a floater section. Will definitely recommend!!
